Førm grew out of a single year abroad — a design student from Miami, a borrowed workshop in Bergen, and the slow realization that the Norwegians were right about almost everything.
Diego Silva was twenty-three when he arrived in Norway on an exchange semester at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design. He had grown up in Miami surrounded by maximalism — bright color, layered pattern, interiors that announced themselves loudly. He found Norway almost alarming in its restraint.
The apartment he rented near Bryggen came furnished with almost nothing: a wooden bed frame, a single shelf, a table with two chairs. He expected to feel the absence. Instead, after a few weeks, he felt an unfamiliar quiet. The room held attention differently. He began to understand that the empty space was doing something.
That winter he spent his free hours in the academy's metalworking studio, learning to work aluminum. He was drawn to it because it was unforgiving. You couldn't sand away a mistake or hide a joint under paint. The material insisted on honesty, and Diego — far from home, in a country that communicated through restraint — found that appealing.
When Diego returned to Miami in 2022, he brought two things: a set of technical drawings and a conviction that the interiors he grew up around were carrying more than they needed to. He converted a storage unit in Wynwood into a studio and spent six months refining tolerances, fitting panels, and testing every joint by hand.
The first piece he made for sale was the Cube Side Table — the same form he had sketched in Bergen during a week of steady rain. He listed four pieces and sold out in three weeks, mostly to architects and interior designers who recognized something considered in the work.
Førm is still a one-person studio. The aluminum is globally sourced — selected for consistency of alloy and finish quality — then fit, checked, and tested in Miami before any order ships. Diego inspects every panel by hand. The Norwegian influence is not aesthetic borrowing — it is a set of values about what objects should ask of a room, and what they should leave alone.

Aluminum is shown as it is. No paint, no coating, no veneer to soften the truth of the material. The brushed surface is the finish. What you see is what holds the weight.

Every piece is designed to take up only what it needs. The empty space around an object is not wasted — it is the point. A room with less in it thinks more clearly.

Aluminum does not rot, warp, or corrode under normal conditions. Diego makes objects intended to outlast their first owners. Førm is not interested in furniture that needs replacing.

Every Førm piece is made to order in our Miami studio. Production begins the day your order is confirmed. Times below begin from that date.
Production
Førm uses 6061 aluminum sourced globally for consistent alloy quality and finish. Every panel is fit, checked, and tested by hand in our Miami studio before it is packed for shipment. We do not hold stock. Your order enters production immediately upon confirmation.
Standard production time is 7 days for all pieces. Custom orders carry a longer lead time of 8–10 weeks due to the additional design and fitting work involved.

All orders ship flat-packed via tracked freight. Delivery windows below are in addition to the 7-day production period.

Packaging
All pieces arrive as laser-cut aluminum sheets in a flat-pack format. This significantly reduces the risk of transit damage and lowers shipping costs. Assembly is straightforward and requires no tools.
Each order includes a printed assembly manual with step-by-step instructions. The panels are precision-cut to fit together perfectly — no fasteners, bolts, or hardware required. Most customers complete assembly in under 30 minutes.
Tracking

Aluminum is one of the most durable materials available for domestic furniture. Treated correctly, a Førm piece will outlast almost anything else in your home.
Assembly
Your piece arrives as precision laser-cut aluminum sheets, flat-packed for safe transit. Every panel is pre-cut and deburred to exact tolerances — no cutting, drilling, or hardware required on your end.
Each package includes a full printed assembly manual. The panels are engineered to fit together perfectly through a tool-free interlocking system — no bolts, no fasteners, no tools. The pieces simply slot and press into place. Most assemblies take 20–40 minutes.
If any panel arrives damaged in transit, contact us within 7 days with a photo and we will ship a replacement panel at no cost.

Longevity
6061 aluminum alloy has a corrosion resistance rating that far exceeds most materials used in domestic furniture. Under normal indoor conditions with basic care, there is no structural reason a Førm piece should ever need to be replaced.
The tool-free interlocking system is designed to hold firm under normal domestic use. If any panel ever feels loose, contact us directly — we will advise or replace as needed.
Legal
Førm Studio LLC collects only what is necessary to process your order and communicate with you. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
What we collect
When you place an order or submit a custom request, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, and payment information. Payment data is processed securely through our payment provider and is never stored on our servers.
If you contact us directly by email, we retain that correspondence to help us respond to and resolve your inquiry.
How we use it
Your information is used solely to process and ship your order, communicate order updates, and respond to support requests. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond your direct relationship with Førm.
We do not subscribe you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. If you opt in to order updates, you may unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting us directly.
Third parties
We share limited data with third-party services strictly necessary to operate: our payment processor (to charge your card), and our shipping carrier (to deliver your order). These parties are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for any other purpose.
We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or social media pixels on this site.
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccuracies, or to request deletion of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@form-studio.co. We will respond within 14 business days.
This site is operated from Miami, Florida, United States. By placing an order, you consent to the processing of your information in the United States in accordance with this policy.

Orders
All Førm pieces are made to order. Production begins immediately upon receipt of full payment. Because each piece is produced specifically for you, orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.
If you need to cancel before production has started — generally within 24 hours of placing your order — contact us immediately at hello@form-studio.co and we will do our best to accommodate the request.
Payment
All orders, including custom orders, require full payment at the time of purchase. No goods will be produced or shipped until payment has been received and confirmed.
Prices are listed in USD. Førm Studio LLC is not responsible for currency conversion fees or charges applied by your bank or payment provider.
Shipping
Delivery timelines stated on this site are estimates and are not guaranteed. Førm Studio LLC is not liable for delays caused by customs, carrier disruptions, or circumstances outside our control. Once your order is handed to the carrier, risk of loss transfers to you.
If your shipment is lost in transit, contact us and we will work with the carrier to investigate and, where possible, issue a replacement or refund at our discretion.
Returns
Because every piece is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your piece arrives with a manufacturing defect or transit damage, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs and we will arrange a replacement panel or full replacement at no cost to you.
Custom orders are non-refundable once production has commenced, as they are fabricated to your specific dimensions and cannot be resold.
Liability
Førm Studio LLC's liability in connection with any order is limited to the purchase price of the goods ordered. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Every Førm piece is made specifically for you. We stand behind the quality of every panel we ship — and we will make it right if something goes wrong.
Our policy
Because every piece is produced to order from globally sourced aluminum, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. Production begins immediately upon payment, and each order is made for you specifically.
We are transparent about this before purchase. Every product page states "all sales final" clearly. If you have questions before ordering, write to us at hello@form-studio.co — Diego replies personally.
Defects & damage
If your piece arrives with a manufacturing defect or a panel that does not fit correctly, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs and we will ship a replacement panel at no cost, no questions asked.
If your piece is damaged in transit, contact us within 7 days with photographs and we will arrange a replacement. We handle the carrier claim on our end — you should not have to.
To report an issue: email hello@form-studio.co with your order number and clear photographs. We respond within 48 hours and resolve within 14 days.
Cancellations
Contact us within 24 hours of placing your order and we will do our best to cancel. After that window we cannot guarantee it — materials may already be allocated and production may have begun.
Custom orders cannot be cancelled once confirmed, as they are fabricated to your specific dimensions and have no resale value.
